I am currently working on several quilt alongs and block of the month quilts--so none of those will be completed in February. I have been trying to work on my shabby scrappy trip around the world--but can't seem to get the scant 1/4" figured out on my travel machine. Sooo, I have decided a feasible goal is to get this rag quilt completed. The fabrics cut so far are the main fabrics, I am adding several blenders in red, green, yellow and blue. A lovely year of finishes

Hope you get the 1/4 inch figured out! In the mean time,I like the fabrics for the project you will be working on. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteHere's an idea for your 1/4 inch challenge. Use a sample of piecing from your other sewing machine where the 1/4 inch is just the size your like. Put it into your travel machine under the presser foot. Drop the needle into the perfectly previously sewn stitching line. Now use your favorite sewing machine marking tool (I like blue painters tape) and mark the bed of the sewing machine where the edge of the seam allowance is. I hope this helps.
